Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh fillets
  • 1 tbs fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 can beer
  • Flour

Directions

1. Fill deep fryer or a deep saucepan about 3/4 full with oil or fat for frying.

2. Heat to 375 degrees. Cut fillets into serving size pieces and brush with limejuice.

3. In bowl mix flour, salt and pepper.

4. Gradually add the beer, beating until the batter is smooth.

5. Put the extra flour on a plate. Coat each piece of fish with flour and dip it into the batter, coating well.

6. Fry for seven or eight minutes, turning once. Drain on paper towel or brown paper.
