Ingredients

  • 4 ripe plantains
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2/3 cup cooking wine
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Directions

1. Peel the plantains and cut them in half and then cut each half in 4 lengthwise slices.

2. Sauté the plantains in butter Add the remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat, covered for about 15 minutes or so.

3. Serve hot in its own gravy.
