Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 3 cups cranberries
  • 11/2cups of water

Directions

1. Mix flour ,1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg in medium size bowl.

2. In medium size bowl, beat egg with fork until it is fluffy.

3. Add milk and oil. Add flour mixture and mix into the dough.

4. In large saucepan over heat, mix cranberries, 1 cup sugar and water.

5. Cover and cook until cranberries begin to pop, this should take about 5 minutes.

6. Now drop dough by the spoonfuls on top of bubbling cranberries.

7. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook, without lifting the lid, for 12 minutes.
