Ingredients

  • 200g dried mopane worms
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 6 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 chilli, de-seeded and finely chopped
  • 500ml water

Mopane worm stew

Serves 4

 

Directions

1. Wash the worms and boil in lightly-salted water for 30 minutes to re-constitute.

2. Drain then add to a pan along with the remaining ingredients.

3. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for about an hour.
