Ingredients

  • 80g rice
  • 60g sesame seeds
  • 30g peanuts

Directions

1. Wash the rice, place in a bowl, cover with water and set aside to soak for 30 minutes.

2. After this time, drain the rice and powder in a coffee grinder.

3. Wash and skin the sesame seeds then grind to a powder.

4. Lightly toast the peanuts then rub off their skins and powder by pounding in a mortar.

5. Combine the three powders then mix to a smooth paste with 250ml water.

6. Place in a pan, and bring to a simmer.

7. Work in 750ml more water and cook gently until thickened.

8. Season to taste with salt, ladle into soup bowls and serve.
